What was really good about the experience?

Friendly students and staff. Great working spaces. Balanced teaching where traditional practice can be explored as well as new methods and modern approaches. Lectures are good quality and the academic staff approachable. The support staff are brilliant. The chances to debate are there. Workshops and techies know there stuff. Having exhibition spaces doted around the campus there are opportunities to exhibit.

What could be improved?

I would like papers / questions to be set with an awareness of the needs of dyslexics. Ie clear and to the point. This is not a criticism of any papers that have been set, but care to be taken in presuming everyone will understand questions in particular dyslexics.

What was really good about the experience?

The campus is small, friendly and always busy. It's located right next to the city centre but has the feel of a small town and you never walk through campus or the centre without seeing at least one person that you know. The Union is the best and so cheap (£1 drinks most nights). Dundee only has a few good clubs (but believe me that is the brilliance), its always busy on a night out so you never find yourself in an empty club without your fellow students. I love the campus on sunny days as the entire student population sunbathes on the campus green and beer garden. Usually with drinks, pizza and occasionally and outdoor DJ. The Union sometimes even have a spur of the moment BBQ!

What was really good about the experience?

Some lecturers were fantastic and had huge amount of time to spend with you. The EEE classes are very small (my graduating class was 6 people) meaning individual attention was possible at almost every opportunity. Social life is not wide ranging with very few good places to go out, although the Union is good and cheap for the most part. Excellent library facilities and plenty of IT suites available.

What could be improved?

The Electrical Engineering dept seems like a school ready for closing. Members of staff seem to leave without a suitable replacement being sought, meaning classes are taught by lecturers unfamiliar/unsuited to their subject affecting the course quality greatly. If I was starting an undergraduate degree in this subject now, I'd have great reservations about going back to Dundee in its current state.

What was really good about the experience?

I really loved Dundee, everyone was so friendly, there was lots of things to do, people were so open and the teaching staff were great, always ready to talk to you and help you. The uni and the city is so compact and within walking distance. Sigh, I'll miss nights out in the Union!

What could be improved?

Not much really, I guess if more big concerts came to Dundee and I didn't have to slog to Glasgow SEC. But the Union has bands play which is great, Kylie did not come to the Union however!
