What was really good about the experience?

I am a MA Marketing student and my teaching is based at Queens Campus. This is not in Durham, this is in Stockton, but I lived in Durham and commuted. No student wants to live at Queens. The facilities are fine there, but it is a horrible experience getting there.

What was really good about the experience?

The academics at Durham are amazIng. I had heard some bad stories about por supervisors and my housemate had one who went on holiday for 6weeks, but mine was great and she made sure that I did everything on time. The core courses are based at Queens and this is difficult to get used to, so you don't feel a part of Durham. My friends at Durham now and I think that these are getting moved, so this won't be a problem in the futre. I enjoyed my experience at Durham fully as my Marketing work was relevant to my area.

I think that all Masters students coud be based in Durham. Queens isn't value for money and it makes me like the course less.

What was really good about the experience?

it was grt to be a part of Durham! I enjoyed it fully however Business Studies is not its so specialist area, however modern languages, English, biological studies and law are really one of the best to study here! More over its the best for someone who enjoys calm, not so posh social life and natural beauty! but no doubt DURHAM Uni is amazing!

What was really good about the experience?

The college system is amazing and means you have a network of support around you at all times. It's brilliant for getting you involved in societies and there's a real sense of a community. Formal dining and college traditions are such an experience as is the inter-college rivalry! Lecturers are also available to help with anything you might need a hand with and are always willing to spend time with you. I absolutely love Durham!

What was really good about the experience?

Love the college system as it means it's easier to meet loads of different people, and get involved in societies at a college level if you're not into it so much as to want to do it at uni level (eg sport/drama/cheerleading/choir). There's a real community feel to Durham as well.

The college system, the way that everyone in the college knows each other, get together at college events and have a really good, relaxed night, without having to walk all the way into town! Teaching is good, you'll come out with a good degree at the end!

What was really good about the experience?

The Collegiate system at the university made the opportunities for social interaction with other students outside of your year group and outside of your course so much easier, which leads to an even happier environment at the university. As there is a definitive line between high quality academic studies and social entertainment, though also giving you the choice to combine the two.

What was really good about the experience?

Collegiate system is a real plus as you have an immediate support network when you arrive. The number of societies are awesome, both within in college and uni wide, so you are able to get involved with all sorts of things at the level appropriate to you and meet more people that way. I liked being in a small, pretty city but it also has the benefit of being 20 mins from Newcastle by train so you have the best of both worlds location wise. There is a reason why many people desperately try to stay in Durham through any means possible - work, postgrad study, etc. Top quality teaching in an amazing environment.
