Bursaries and Scholarships
University of Exeter Partial Fee Waivers
- Under the National Scholarship Programme, partial fee waivers (fee reductions) are available for students whose declared household income is below £25,000. If you are eligible, you will receive these partial fee waivers for each year of undergraduate study. Details for 2013 entry are as follows:

Fee waivers for care leavers
The University is committed to supporting young people in care as part of its Commitment to Care Leavers under the Buttle Trust Quality Mark. We will provide financial support for care leavers under the age of 25 who have spent a minimum period of three months in local authority care, as per the Care Leavers’ Act. This support includes a full fee waiver for all years of study and financial support for accommodation outside university term dates.
University of Exeter Bursaries
The Access to Exeter Bursary is a guaranteed, non-competitive bursary available to students with a household income between £25,000 and £42,600, which does not have to be paid back.
Under the scheme we will provide a range of bursaries depending on your household income. Students eligible for the partial fee waiver will also be eligible for the Access to Exeter Bursary Scheme. The details below are for 2013 entry:

- Sports scholarships are available for students of outstanding sporting ability who show evidence of achievement or potential at national level.
- Worth up to £1,000 a year for sporting expenses, sports mentoring/training. They include a cash sum for sporting expenses up to £2,000 a year for exceptional athletes. The amount awarded depends on your chosen sport, achievements, ability and potential to develop during your time at Exeter.
- A full package of support services and coaching equating to a cash equivalent upwards of £3,500 is also provided as part of each award.

- The University of Exeter will be charging a tuition fee of £9,000 a year for Home/EU students studying undergraduate programmes starting in 2013. This figure may be subject to small increments set by the Government each year.
