Student Accommodation

  • Nearly all first year students housed on campus – 30% of all students overall.
  • Approximately 439 full-board bed spaces places, up to 250 self-catering, all on 36-week contracts. Further rooms are available on longer contracts for international and postgraduate students.
  • Rents for full­-board accommodation ranging from shared single rooms with shared facilities £3,672 to single en-suite room £5,931 per year; self-­catering accommodation single en­-suite room £4,386, and single en-­suite room with self­-service laundry £4,080 per year.
  • All rents include utilities, internet, weekly laundry (except self-service accommodation option) and cleaning (plus three meals each weekday for those in catered halls).
  • Students live in privately-owned accommodation for the second and final years of their degrees (third year is the work placement year).
  • Rents approximately £65–75 per week for self-catered shared houses exclusive of bills and around £80–95 for B&B and lodgings and other bills-inclusive accommodation arrangements.
  • Some local students live at home.
