Request for Assistance
We are requesting your assistance to help ensure that the information available within the Complete University Guide is accurate and up-to-date. This year, we are specifically asking for your help with the following:
Subject Table Inclusion
For each institution and each subject table we store a flag indicating whether the institution should appear in that table. This should be set to ‘Y’ where the institution offers courses in the subject(s) covered by the table. It should be left blank where the institution has no courses in the subjects(s) covered by the table or where its appearance in the table would be misleading (for example, if the courses have recently been discontinued).
Attached to my email is a file giving the current flags for your institution. Please review these and update as necessary.
Annual Update of Your Institution’s Profile
We ask for your assistance with the following sections of your university profile. Please check the published information about your institution and either confirm its accuracy and completeness or make additions, alterations or deletions to the text (staying with the format and headings already used). Please click on the tabs for Accommodation, Fees & Finance (where the Bursary and Scholarship information is located at the foot of the page) as well as the Summary. Any substantive information relating to contact information should be reported to us now but also at other times during the year as and when any changes might arise.
The Fees & Finance tab contains the section on Bursaries and Scholarships. Currently, and exceptionally, the undergraduate tuition fees for next year, 2012, already appear here. You can, therefore, ignore the fees sections which should be complete and correct unless yours is one of the universities which has re-submitted plans to OFFA to reduce home undergraduate tuition fees from the originally announced levels. We do, however, ask you to look carefully at the Bursaries and Scholarships section at the foot of the Fees & Finance page and update as necessary.
It would be particularly helpful to the editorial team if any changes to your institution profile are highlighted in a WORD document copied and pasted from the original so that we can see at a glance where updates have been made.
This year we are planning to introduce a new section of the profile on alumni. We would be grateful for your assistance in providing a few well-known names of alumni from your institution. A simple list of names will suffice and we leave it to you to decide how many to provide.
