London Metropolitan Visa Licence Revoked
Around 2,000 non-EU overseas students at London Metropolitan University face deportation. The university has had its right to recruit and teach overseas students revoked by the UK Border Agency after its failure to address serious failings in its systems, including checking course attendance. All international students at London Metropolitan now have 60 days in which to find an alternative higher education course and sponsorship, or face deportation. No other UK university is affected.
In a statement, London Metropolitan say "Our absolute priority is to our students, both current and prospective, and the university will meet all its obligations to them."
