History and background

  • Leeds Trinity University College has just under 3,000 students. All undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are currently accredited by the University of Leeds.  In July 2009 Leeds Trinity was granted the power to award its own taught degrees and became a University College. This means that students starting on a postgraduate degree course from September 2010 or an undergraduate degree course from September 2011 will have their degree awarded by Leeds Trinity University College.
  • Leeds Trinity offers a range of degree courses from Film Studies to Forensic Psychology, Sports Development to Sports Journalism and Media to Management.  Honours degrees lead to a BA or BSc Honours and most take three years to complete, with the exception of Primary Education degrees that take four years. All degree courses include periods of professional work experience.

Location and transport

  • Leeds Trinity is located north west of Leeds City Centre (20 minutes drive) on a green campus in the leafy suburbs.
  • The Leeds Trinity shuttle bus is a free service to all campus users and visitors connecting the college to Horsforth train Station and the amenities of Horsforth, operating weekdays during term time. There are three pre-9am services running from Horsforth Train Station to Leeds Trinity followed by a twice hourly circular service continuing until 6.45pm.

Accommodation

  • 575 rooms are available, most of which will be reserved for first year undergraduates. Normally all first year students who want to live on campus are accommodated.  All contracts are for 39 weeks and the prices include heating, lighting and hot water, as well as personal possessions insurance for the duration of your contract.
