University Profiles
Welcome to University Profiles. Here you can view details of the individual UK universities featured in the main League Table and the Subject Tables. Each profile contains links to web and email addresses and much more.

These profiles feature most of the UK's higher education institutions. Those included must, by definition, have their own degree-awarding powers and produce detailed annual statistics. Some (those with ** after the name) are in the Subject Tables but not in the League Table because such comparison would be inappropriate or not possible. Others, like the Open University and Birkbeck College, though universities, exist only for distance learning and part-time students respectively. Similarly, the University of Buckingham, Britain's only private university, does not have a comparable set of data. However, what figures do exist are included in the individual profiles so that you can compare and contrast.
Some highly respected institutions have been deliberately omitted because their student intake is largely or wholly postgraduate. These include Cranfield (www.cranfield.ac.uk), London Business School (www.london.edu) and Manchester Business School (www.mbs.ac.uk).
Each profile includes details of the institution's location and its provision for sport.
