Programme features

The Strathclyde MBA aims to provide a broad understanding of business and management issues and to develop management skills and techniques as well as promote self-awareness as a manager and leader. It prepares you for higher level, policy-forming positions, opening up new career opportunities and allowing a smooth progression from a technical specialism to general management. 

Classes include:

  • Finance and Finance Management, Marketing Management
  • Operations Management
  • Analytical Support for Decisions-making
  • Managing People in Organisations
  • Exploring the International Business Environment
  • Strategy Analysis and Evaluation
  • Making Strategy

Participants will also be expected to choose two elective classes – there are usually around 25 classes on offer – and to complete a project which will involve examining in depth a managerial, organisational or environmental issue of their choice over an extended period of time.

The Strathclyde MBA is an internationally-recognised management qualification  aimed at talented, ambitious and well-qualified people with solid business experience. Strathclyde Business School was the first UK business school to introduce a part time MBA programme back in 1974. 

Strathclyde’s part-time MBA (evening study in Glasgow) offers course members the opportunity to gain a valued and well-established management qualification in a way best suited to their professional and personal circumstances. Typically, participants complete their degree in around 3 years,although it is possible to accelerate the programme to complete in a little over 2 years.

The MBA aims to provide a broad understanding of business and management issues and to develop management skills and techniques as well as promote self-awareness as a manager and leader. Flexible Learning MBA

Programme features

Strathclyde Business School was the first UK business school to introduce a distance learning MBA programme back in 1983. The Strathclyde MBA is an internationally-recognised management qualification  aimed at talented, ambitious and well-qualified people with solid business experience.

Strathclyde’s flexible learning MBA moves beyond purely distance learning, and offers course members the opportunity to gain a valued and well-established management qualification in a way best suited to their professional and personal circumstances. It offers a structured programme whilst allowing individual choice in the pace of study. Combining both supported self-study with attendance at face to face intensive seminars, participants complete their degree in around 3 years, although it is possible to accelerate the programme to complete in a little over 2 years.

Offshore study – Executive MBA

Programme features

The Strathclyde Executive MBA has been available outside the UK since 1988, with thousands of course participants now graduated and hundreds more currently studying in their own country. The success is due to the flexible learning delivery structure developed with the local partner incorporating elements of part-time, full-time and distance learning methods of study. Most participants complete their studies in two years.

The Strathclyde Executive MBA (offshore) corresponds closely to the UK programme, and is assessed on exactly the same basis. It can be studied through our international partnerships in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Switzerland, Greece, Bahrain, Dubai, Oman and Abu Dhabi.
