Tuition Fee Loans

The Tuition Fee Loan is not means-tested; every eligible student can have the full amount to cover the tuition fees they, themselves, are charged, regardless of family income. So if the university levies an annual fee of £3,375 for your particular course then you can have a Tuition Fee Loan for £3,375 to cover it completely. The Tuition Fee Loan is paid direct to the university where you are studying.

The situation for a Welsh resident opting to study at a Welsh university or elsewhere is the same.

For Scots staying in Scotland there are no university fees to pay by you and so there is no need to take out a tuition fee loan.
