Is the international baccalaureate better than A Levels when applying to study abroad?

Is the international baccalaureate diploma preferable to A Levels, for Art/Design students, if hoping to study overseas?
Answered by Alison Patterson
Most UK qualifications are portable so I don't think you should see the international baccalaureate as being preferable to A levels for using as entry requirements for overseas study. There may of course be other reasons why the IB is preferable.

You could check with a few universities overseas as it is their decision that counts.
