Computer Science subject league table

I see a the University of Southampton has dropped six places, from 5th to 11th when one compares the 2013 Computer Science subject table to 2014's.
What has caused this significant drop and what steps are being taken to address this downward movement?
Answered by Alison Patterson
The drop in places for Southampton University appears to be more to do with tougher competition than Southampton getting worse. Take a look at the 2013 table in full: www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/league-tables...3. You'll see that other universities e.g. York, are now rated much better for criteria such as 'Graduate Prospects'.

I can't say whether Southampton are doing anything to address this trend and think this question is something you need to pose to Southampton directly.
