Can you withdraw from an unconditional offer on results day?

If you accept an unconditional offer, and do much better than expected, can you withdraw after results day and reapply to university the following year?
Answered by Alison Patterson
Yes. Be aware of the inherent risk in turning down the firm offer of a place.

If you do much better than expected at results you can also go into Adjustment. This would allow you to start university in September without the need for a new application. It is of course dependent on place being available, but very good candidates do very well via Adjustment.

More info on Adjustment can be found on site:
