Applying for economics but has a B in maths GCSE

I want to apply for Economics at university but I have a B in GCSE maths. Will this matter for top universities whom ask for an A in GCSE maths in their entry requirements?

You should treat minimum entry requirements as a definite. If they ask for an A they are unlikely to consider your application with a B.
You must read the course entry requirements carefully and make sure you will match or exceed them.
