Study Year in Personal Statement

I am French, and next year I will be taking an undergraduate course at university (classes préparatoires). As far as I know, I will still be considered as an undergraduate who took a gap year and be able to apply for first year in a UK university. Should I mention this university gap year (and how I've benefited from it) in my personal statement?

Do you plan to apply for admission to a UK university through UCAS? It will be necessary to explain what you are doing currently. It should go in your education history as well as your Personal Statement. Any gaps will raise questions, therefore you need to be open and transparent.
