Deferring and then changing my mind

If I defer a place at university, does that prohibit me from applying to other universities? Can I change my mind and reject the initial offer, and then apply through clearing?
Answered by Alison Patterson
If you have changed your mind and want to start university in 2015 rather than 2016 and you are holding an offer for 2016, phone the university that gave the deferred offer and see if they will offer you a place for this year. Try to find another course by phoning universities direct before turning down a real offer.
