Poor Results at AS Level, will universities accept this application?

My son just finished AS and got the poor result (Chinese: B; Maths: A; Further Maths: C; Physics: E and Psy: U). Any suggestions what uni will consider his application for Mathematics? Is there any chance they accept the university offer? If we did not have the condition offer from university. What can we do?

Hi there,

That's quite a few AS Levels and not all of them are so bad. I'd identify a few unis he's interested in and talk to them directly.

Universities are aware that module resits are an option so I don't think they will look upon his application too harshly. Most students are shocked in to action by the time of A Levels proper.
