my son has suspended his place, will his loan be automatically suspended?

My son has just come home from uni having suspended his place for a year. Will he need to stop his student loan or will this happen automatically once the suspension application has been processed? If he withdraws and applies for places at other universities will he need to stop the loan and reapply for next year?

Hi Rachel,

He should contact Student Finance England (or relevant funding body) as soon as possible. Please see this link for more information:

I hope this helps!
