University rankings different

Why are your University rankings so different to other companies tables (eg. Guardian), and why is there such a massive difference in your rankings from last year to this year (eg. Sports Science at Leeds Becket was 14th last year and 37th this year)?
Answered by Alison Patterson
Hi Peter,

Interesting question! Actually I think you will find that The Guardian is the outlier and is more volatile than our table.

Regarding the big changes, ranks change when the data changes – in the case of Sports Science at Leeds Beckett, they improved their Student Satisfaction, Research Assessment and Tariff Score and so the rank increased.

I hope this clears things up for you!
