Irish student funding eligibility for PGDE in Scotland

My son is about to accept an offer to do a PGDE at the University of Aberdeen. I am wondering about his eligibility for help with fees or if there are bursaries that he can apply for in advance of his attending?

I am assuming that you are referring to the University of Aberdeen (Robert Gordon University is also in Aberdeen). I think you are referring to a PGCE, but I am guessing.

Go to the Aberdeen University website:
www.abdn.ac.uk/funding/search.php?ugrad_year=all&l...1

You should also approach Student Finance NI to ask if there is funding for postgraduate study. Loans have been made available in the rest of the UK, so I will be a little surprised if Northern Ireland does not offer a fee loan.
Look at: www.nidirect.gov.uk/initial-teacher-training
and
www.studentfinanceni.co.uk/portal/page?_pageid=54,...L

Finally, look at the special arrangements and bursaries that may be available for PGCE students at:
