What happens if a student fails a module?

Mar 2019

If a student is unable to pass a module, does he/she have to repeat the entire year?

STUDENT SURVIVAL
Answer

You need to talk to your university tutors and read the university website for the course regulations. Normally students are allowed one retake of failed modules. If they do not pass that time then it is likely they will have to retake the module the following year, this comes at an extra financial cost and it means they won't be able to progress to the next year of their course.
