PPE in King's College London VS Manchester University

I've received identical offers from both KCL and Manchester for the PPE course, but I'm having trouble deciding which university to pick. I've heard so many good things about Manchester, but KCL is more renowned. At the same time though KCL has plummeted in rankings that past decade or so, which is very disconcerting. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hi Martynas,

There is no ranking for PPE so you must look at the rankings for the individual subjects:

www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/league-tables...y

However, you shouldn't completely rely on rankings. Look at the course content of both courses, as they will be different and one might appeal more than the other. Check the university websites carefully:

www.kcl.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/philosop...x

One of the main factors in this choice is London. Do you want to live in London? Some people find it is too expensive. If you're after a city lifestyle, Manchester is a large city in the north west of England but has lower living costs.

Oh, and make sure to check out the university arrangements for accommodation!

Good luck!
