Studying Animal Sciences at a vocational school in the US

My daughter has been accepted into second year at a vocational High School in US that does not have AP courses. Her current high school is more academically advanced but does not offer Animal Sciences. Will she be eligible to apply to a university in UK for Zoology or Veterinary without AP courses?

Hello Melissa,

You would need to check this with universities. Often, the general entry requirements are stated on university websites; for example:

www.liverpool.ac.uk/study/international/countries/.../

But these are not specific to the Vet Science course, so it is advisable to contact departments to find out full information.

Looking at the Liverpool information in the link above, it appears that they will accept SAT Subject Tests instead of APs (in conjunction with SAT/ACT and High School GPA).

Use a Course Chooser to identify universities and contact details (click on the individual courses listed in the link below. Ignore the BSc and MSc courses- you are looking at Vet Sci):

I think there will be more choice and less competition for Zoology courses. Look at:

search.ucas.com/search/providers?CountryCode=&...=

Good luck!
