Varying dates of uni start dates for Medicine

UK universities open in September, while South African universities open in February as results are issued in February. If I get accepted to a UK university, what will I be doing until universities open in September?
Answered by Alison Patterson
Hello Vhudi,

If you apply and are accepted for Medicine in a UK university your course will start in September. It is your choice how you will spend the six months between your exam results and starting. It would be a great opportunity to obtain some practical experience working or volunteering in a hospital in your home town.

Have you applied through UCAS at www.ucas.com? You will need to take the UKCAT or BMAT.

Good luck!
