Choosing the right course

I am on a Creative Media BTEC Level 3 diploma, and looking into Graphic Design university courses. A lot of them ask for BTEC's in Art & Design, and I am worried that my Media course (although we do create print and Graphic Design products) will not accept this? In addition, I am good at the Graphic Design process of creating using the industry software, however I feel my drawing skills are not good enough. Do all Graphic Design courses require a high level of drawing ability, or are digital designs and rough sketches acceptable rather than a huge master pieces?
