Entry requirements for South African applying to a English university

My daughter has completed a 3 year undergraduate Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) Psychology Major at University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa.
She does not want to do her fourth (Honours) year at UCT and has set her sights on doing Child Psychology Masters at University College London (UCL). Is Pre-Masters (UCL) equivalent to South African Honours year? UCL cannot come up with a clear answer to this, leaving us confused.

Hi Meg,

Look at:

www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/graduate/taught...c

and

www.ucl.ac.uk/pals/study/masters/TMSPSYSDPC01

She must read the information on the website and contact the university for clarification about her eligibility for the course. The contact details at the bottom section of both the web pages above should make it quite easy to speak to an expert.

I am not familiar with the term pre-masters. In general, you need to have taken an honours degree to qualify for admission to a Masters degree course in the UK.

Hope this helps!
