Applying with a deferred place

My son has a deferred place for 2017 having just gained 2 A levels. He is doing a third A level this next academic year and wants to apply to other universities for 2017. Does he have to give up the deferred place in order to do so? If he includes the uni in his five choices will they offer again?

Yes, he does. We usually recommend not re-applying to the same university twice. I suppose he could have the conversation with the university and see what they say, but he might be better off with four/five new choices.

Best of luck to him,
