Does a three year A level course matter?

Will Uni's look unfavorably if I have to retake my AS year, which will make my A levels technically a 3 year course?
Answered by Alison Patterson
Hi Marie,

It is quite unusual to retake AS. More usually, people re-take their A2 exams and re-apply through UCAS.

It is up to universities to decide. Sometimes it is clear from the information on university websites whether they consider applicants with resits. It varies depending on the course and the university.

It might be worth checking with a few universities, or at least reading the information on their websites. What course do you want to take?
