Deferring Uuniversity for 2 years to serve a religious mission

I'm planning on serving a religious mission for my church and am wondering whether I am able to apply as normal but defer my place for 2 years? And if so, how could I do this? And when should I do this? Do all universities let you defer an offer for 2 years?

Hi Ben,

I think you can only defer for one year, but you must check with universities direct.

The advice on the UCAS website to the question "are you applying for deferred entry ?" is:

"If you are, make sure you’ve checked that the university or college accepts deferred entry applications for the course.

They may not be offering the course the following year, may be changing it, or prefer students not to have a gap in study before they start their degree. "

Good luck.
