Changing course and reapplying during gap year

I got better results that I expected in my exams, and decided to reapply for other universities. I currently hold a place for Biological Sciences at Edinburgh, but have decided I would like to do Modern Languages instead and want to reapply to other universities for this also.
What should I do regarding the place at Edinburgh?
Answered by Alison Patterson

You can't apply to UCAS whilst holding an offer from a university as a result of an earlier UCAS application.

So, if you decide to re-apply for 2017 entry, you must decline the Edinburgh offer.

It is quite common to re-apply and if your results are good you should not be taking a risk.

Good luck,
