Not having the right entry requirements to get into university

I'm at college and when I finish, I'll only have a total of 3/4 GCSEs and 3 A level equivalents. I'm worried that I won't be able to get into university due to my GCSEs. The entry requirements are 5 GCSEs and equivalent of 3 A levels. Are there any other ways of getting into university if I only have those grades altogether? Or may I be accepted with the grades that I have already?

Hi Rosie,

You need to check course entry requirements first. Use a Course Chooser:

www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/courses/search

Click on entry requirements. If you can't find an answer, contact the universities by email.

There is an Access to HE qualification:

www.accesstohe.ac.uk/Pages/Default.aspx

And some courses offer a Foundation year.

So, there are a number of ways of getting admission. First you need to know what course you want to study.

Good luck!
