Do credits from a previous course count towards a new course?

I am 26. I attended university at DMU About 6 years ago. I left in my second year due personal problems but I would like to look into finishing my course, or coming back and doing something different. Do the credits I acquired still count towards a new course or can I still complete my previous course?
I'm currently in full time employment is it possible to do evening courses, or would I need to go back full-time. Please could you give me some advice on where i stand, or who I could contact To speak more in depth about my options.

You must contact DMU about this. They will be very supportive.
