Fees for a non-UK-resident citizen applying for Nursing or Midwifery

My daughter is a British citizen but has never resided in the UK. She is interested in studying either Nursing or Midwifery and we would like to know if she would be eligible for any funding and what the fees would look like for her.
Answered by Alison Patterson
Hi Valerie,

She will likely be assessed as an international student for fees as residence is more relevant than citizenship.

Look at:

www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/university-tu.../

www.gov.uk/student-finance/who-qualifies

and

www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information--Advice/Fees-and-Mon...s

Please use a Course search, such as:

search.ucas.com/search/providers?Vac=6&AvailableIn...1

Click on a few courses and read about fees and funding.

I suggest you contact a few Nursing schools to find out what they advise. Contact details are given on each summary page if you use the link above.

Good luck.
