Applying while on temporary leave from university

Can you apply for other universities while on temporary leave from your current university? Or do you need to permanently leave in order to get new offers?
Answered by Alison Patterson
Hello Ella,

Assuming you are an undergraduate student, you can apply through UCAS whilst in attendance at university. But, it would be advisable to contact a few universities to ask about your chances of acceptance, whether you can transfer etc before making an application through UCAS. Your UCAS form would need to include an explanation about why you wish to withdraw from your current course of study.

Good luck.
