Fees for UK passport holder relocating

My nephew wants to apply for GCU from Oct 2017 because his mother is relocating to Glasgow from Australia. He moved there 11 years ago from England. Will he be classed as an international student even with a UK passport? Can he qualify for the UCAS deadline of 15 January?

Hello Joyce,

Residence is more important than citizenship. I think unless he has been a resident in Scotland for the three years prior to starting university in Scotland he will be liable for the International or, perhaps, the RUK fee.

The 15 January UCAS deadline is not really a deadline anymore and applications are received after this date. There may be less choice available and so it might be worth contact GCU about places left on his preferred course.
