Rejecting an unconditional offer on results day

If you accept an unconditional offer, can you then reject it/get out of it on results day? I'm asking because my first choice is to get on a degree apprenticeship scheme. If I met the grades for it, would I be able to get out of the unconditional offer and accept the degree apprenticeship offer, would would mean I would be going to a different university?

Hi Will,

In theory you are contractually bound to take up your Unconditional place at university. In practice, the university will release you if you ask at results time.

Hope this helps,
