Deferring and finance

I have applied to go to university for the year 09/2017 and have received offers. However I now want to defer the year. How would I go about this? Also what do I do with student finance? Do I apply or do I tell them once I have applied that I am deferring the year.

Hi Rachelle,

You need to get your universities to agree to a deferment; it's their choice. If they agree they will notify UCAS.

Do not apply for student finance until the Spring before you plan to start university.

Take a look at our deferring content: www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/universities/.../

Hope this helps,
