Deferring until next year and maybe changing course

I have received my offers, but have not yet accepted my final choices, as I am considering deferring until 2018. I may then also apply for a different course. Would I be better rejecting all offers and submitting a new application next year?

Hi Tasha,

If you want to ask for a deferment of the existing offers, you must contact universities. It is their choice whether they agree to defer.

If you are completely re-thinking your university application, it would be sensible to re-apply for 2018 entry with your results and a clear idea of what you really want to study.

Take a look at deferring here: www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/universities/.../

and here is more info about gap years: www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/preparing-to-.../

Best of luck,
