Rejecting firm choice on results day

If I reject my offer on results day because I've decided to not go to university, what happens to student finance? Is it automatically cancelled or do I need to take steps to ensure no money will come into my bank account in September?

Hi Maheen,

I think that SLC will only provide funding after universities have confirmed their final list of registered students. So, if you withdraw, you should not be registered as a student of the university and therefore not receive funding.

Take a look at our repaying student loans info here: www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/university-tu.../

Hope this is useful,
