Can I still apply through Clearing/Adjustment after accepting an offer?

I accepted my only offer, which was for Biomedicine. This was originally my back up course. However I want to do Medicine. Will I be able to call unis on results day without a Clearing number? And after getting a verbal offer, request to be released from my previous offer for Biomed? Or will I have to cancel beforehand to get put into clearing?

Hi Nicole,

Good question! As you say, you can request to be released by your firm and insurance choices, but we recommend that you err on the side of caution if you're thinking of doing this. Get on the phone to some universities and secure yourself a verbal offer first (you shouldn't need a Clearing number at this point).

However, you should be aware that Medicine places in Clearing are hard to come by. Never say never, but make sure that you're ready to call early on Results Day, before all the places have gone!

Best of luck.
