Applied for deferred entry and didn't get the grades

I emailed my course tutor at uni because I didn't quite reach my offer. She confirmed my rejection for the course next year, but nothing changed on UCAS. Then, today, I got a phone call from university admissions to say they are offering me deferred entry, despite my grades, and to check UCAS track over the next day or so to wait for the offer. Could this be a mistake? I don't want it to be a mistake.

Hi Poppy,

It's probably best if you phone the university tutor again for clarification. Otherwise, it's best to keep checking track.

It sounds as though you may be safe, but make sure and contact the university directly.
