changing to another univerity after deferring

My daughter has deferred her fine art place at the University of Leeds until
2018. She is considering applying to Newcastle. Does she need to redo here personal statement on UCAS etc? She has 3 x A* at a level but would need to submit a portfolio which may be a gamble
Answered by Alison Patterson
Hi Andrea,

If she wants to re-apply through UCAS she will need to give up her deferred offer and start again.

It is not possible to start a fresh UCAS application whilst holding an offer.

She should think carefully about her reasons for changing her mind. There is an inherent risk in her plan, so it is necessary to be very careful.

We have some advice on applications here:

I hope this is useful advice, good luck!
