Using my previous PS with some alterations

Is it possible to use my previous PS with some alterations to reapply to slightly different courses? (I've spent one year studying Geography at Cambridge, however I've quit and decided to apply to Biomedical Sciences this year). Is it okay to just alter the facts and motives a bit to suit an application for this course? (the style of my PS was quite nice that's why I'd like to keep most sentence structures)

Hi Veronika

Yes, in principle it is sensible to re-use the framework of your first personal statement. However, you must address the subject you are now applying to study and state your interest. You must also comment on this year's study and explain that you started university and withdrew for some reasons.

It is fine to re-apply and quitting this year will not be treated as a negative. (I presume you are not re-applying to Cambridge?)

Good luck.
