Can you apply for medicine in ucas extra

Is it possible to apply for a normal A100 medicine course through ucas extra, if you’ve received 4 rejections?
Answered by Alison Patterson
Hi Alice,

You would need to reject your 5th UCAS choice to go into Extra, which you can read more about here:

I am not sure if it is possible. My guess is that it is not. I also think it is inadvisable. If you get excellent results in summer, you may be considered through Clearing. Some Medical Schools offer Clearing places.

Do you know why you have been rejected? Is it to do with academic grades, UKCAT/BMAT scores, interview?

Please take advice from teachers and parents before taking drastic action.

At this stage you should be concentrating on your summer exams.

Good luck.
