Student loan for study outside of the UK
Nov 2018I'm a British citizen who has lived in the UAE for over ten years, and am looking to get a student loan in order to be able to study. Would this be possible since my mother who is also a British citizen doesn't own a house or have a fixed postcode in the UK at the moment? Would the loan allow me to study only in the UK or outside?

Please look at our advice on student finance eligibility. You can also look at gov.uk/student-finance/who-qualifies and ukcisa.org.uk/information. Hope these are helpful. Please bear in mind that UK government student loans are for study in the UK only and that residence determines eligibility, not citizenship.
