Adjustment/Clearing after accepting unconditional offer

May 2019

If my son accepts an unconditional offer and then does better than expected, can he choose another university through Adjustment? Or would he have to relinquish his place and reapply for the following year if he wants to aim for another university?

Your son should be able to go into Adjustment. This option is available from mid-August, read our FAQs on Adjustment. UCAS also offers a Clearing self-release feature, which may also be of help. Read about this in our guide to Clearing.
