Can a university withdraw an offer?

Having received an offer from my first choice university, they now want me to go for an interview because they say so many people have applied.
Can they do this given I have already received and accepted an offer of a place from them?
Answered by Alison Patterson
If you have accepted an offer through UCAS then the university can't just withdraw the offer as it is a de facto legal contract. You may wish to try just saying that to them and hopefully the issue will go away.
