Will universities consider students with less than their entry requirements at GCSE?

I was looking at the requirements of Imperial College London for Computing and Engineering degrees and I saw that there was a requirement of a B in English language GCSE and I was wondering if they would still be willing to take on board someone who only achieved a C but has reached the criteria for the other subjects needed?

Minimum entry requirements usually mean just that. Imperial is a highly selective university and it is unlikely that they will take students offering less than the minimum required.

However, you should write to them and see if they'll consider making an exception. You'll have to prove yourself in other ways I imagine.
