Swapping between first choice and insurance choice, changing your mind

My daughter would now prefer to go to her insurance choice university (Bristol) rather than her first choice (Durham). Can she change at this stage and what does she need to do?
Answered by Alison Patterson
It is possible to swap between insurance and firm options at this late stage. It's not an official swap as such, Durham will need to release her from the contract but they're likely to as they don't want unhappy students. Assuming your daughter meets the requirements of her insurance offer then all should be well.
