Does an IGCSE English Language act as English speaking evidence for international applicants to UK universities?

Do International students who have an IGCSE English Language need to provide further evidence in the form IELTS or other English language tests, in order to be admitted to a UK uni?
Answered by Alison Patterson
It depends on the grade in IGCSE but for an undergraduate degree, the IGCSE English Language may be appropriate for admittance to UK universities along with at least one other subject at post-16 taught and examined in English.

It also depends on the universities you apply to, get in touch with them directly if in any doubt.

Best of luck!
